DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —
Daytona Beach police said a woman was killed when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a crash with a stolen vehicle Saturday night.
According to police, the woman was a passenger in a Nissan that was traveling north on White Street around 11:45 p.m. At the same time, a Toyota was traveling west Madison Avenue approaching White Street. The vehicles crashed in the intersection, police said.
The woman in the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the scene. She has been identified as 27-year-old Laguadia Jameace Terry. The driver, 26-year-old Sterling Slaton, is in critical condition at Halifax Hospital.
Investigators said the Toyota that hit Slaton's Nissan is a stolen vehicle and the occupants ran from the scene, leaving the car behind.
Those suspects have not been located. Police said two black males were possibly seen running from the area.
Anyone with information should contact the Daytona Beach Police Department.
