Troopers: Pedestrian hit, killed in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —

The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed after being hit by two vehicles in Orange County early Sunday morning.

The crash happened on Aloma Avenue near Eastbrook Boulevard around 4:00 a.m.

Troopers said the 50-year-old male pedestrian was attempting to cross Aloma Avenue when he was hit by a Ford pickup truck driven by 30-year-old Courtney Jones. The pedestrian was subsequently struck by a second vehicle, driven by 36-year-old Ronald Massey.

The victim was not crossing at the intersection or using a crosswalk, according to FHP. The victim's identity has not been released.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
