ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Firefighters said a van burst into flames after crashing on US 17-92 in the Maitland area early Sunday morning.
The crash and fire happened on US 17-92 near Maitland Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m.
Officials said the the van crashed through a fence and into a tree. Moments later, the van burst into flames.
Police said the driver of the van was not located and apparently fled the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
