Video Released Of Astronaut Stalking Woman At Airport

ORLANDO, Fla. —

New surveillance video was released, Friday, taken inside Orlando International Airport as former astronaut Lisa Nowak stalked and prepared to attack a romantic rival.

SURVEILLANCE: Nowak Stalks Woman At OIA

Nowak was in the airport for at least three hours, waiting for Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman. Nowak changed her appearance twice, ending up in a trench coat and wig.

Orlando police said Nowak tried to kidnap Shipman in the airport parking lot, because they were both involved with Astronaut Bill Oefelein.

Prosecutors released the surveillance DVD as part of their case against Nowak. They would not comment on it, saying it speaks for itself.

On the video, Nowak can be clearly seen waiting, watching and even chasing Colleen Shipman through the airport.

The surveillance cameras first captured Nowak in the B-side terminal at Orlando International Airport at 12:33am. She sits and waits for almost an hour, pacing at times, wearing a hat, a wig, gloves and glasses.

When Shipman finally walks by, wearing a blue backpack, at 1:22am, Nowak quickly follows her down the escalator to baggage claim.

As Shipman waits for her bags, she's unaware that her romantic rival is just a few feet away, putting on a trench coat and then lurking behind a pole.

Shipman's bags didn't arrive until after 3:00am. The final shot shows Nowak walking outside of baggage claim. Then, her reflection is shown in the glass windows as she runs in the opposite direction, now back inside the terminal.

The video never shows Nowak attack Shipman. There were no cameras in the parking lot. But the tape, coupled with the strange items seized from Nowak's car, a steel mallet, a knife, a wig, a BB gun, all appear to be very incriminating.

Nowak is out of jail on bond and is living back in Houston. She is scheduled to return to Central Florida for her trial in September.
