Walgreens Robbery Is 83rd Local Pharmacy Heist This Year

MELBOURNE, Fla. —

It's happened again. Late Tuesday morning, someone robbed yet another pharmacy in Central Florida.

Police in Melbourne said a man walked into a Walgreens on Eau Gallie Boulevard and Wickham Road (see map) around 10:30am. The man gave an employee a note demanding Oxycontin. He got away with several bottles of the painkiller.

No one was hurt.

It was the 83rd area pharmacy robbery so far this year.
