Woman Crashes Car Into Daycare Center

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —

A building inspector will take a careful look a daycare facility in Longwood Tuesday morning to make sure it is still safe for kids after a driver crashed right through one of its walls Monday night.

AT THE SCENE: Car Smashes Into Daycare Center

The car smashed through a plate glass window and a wall before coming to rest all the way inside the Einstein Academy off Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Longwood (see map) just after 9:00pm Monday.

Police say the 57-year-old woman behind the wheel is being charged with careless driving. She told police officers at the scene that she swerved to avoid hitting a dog. The woman was treated for minor injuries.

No one was inside the daycare at the time of the crash.
