Officials: Volusia County deputy arrested after domestic incident

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Volusia County deputy was arrested following a domestic incident involving his wife Friday night, according to sheriff's office officials.

Deputy David Fuller has been placed on administrative suspension with pay because of his arrest, officials said.

Fuller is accused of grabbing his wife during an argument at their Deltona home Friday evening. Deputies were called to the home during the disturbance and Fuller was subsequently arrested.

He was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and assault, according to officials.

Fuller was off-duty at the time of the alleged incident. He has been with the sheriff's office since 2004 and is assigned to court security at the courthouse in Daytona Beach.
