Poinciana Blvd. shut down after crash, fuel spill in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A crash caused gallons of fuel to spill on a Kissimmee roadway Friday morning, and both directions of Poinciana Boulevard and Crescent Lakes Way were shut down.

The Florida Highway Patrol said there were injuries reported, but have not revealed how severe.

FHP said two tractor-trailers collided head on, spilling fuel on the road.

Investigators said one truck took the curve too fast.

Two people were taken to the hospital. Their names were not released.

The road was closed for most of the day Friday, as investigators worked at the scene.
