Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics

Updated:

It was the coolest event of the year! Thanks to everyone who joined WFTV 9 Family Connection, our 9 Family Partner Stanley Steemer and Special Olympics Florida for Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 2 at SeaWorld's Water Park- Aquatica.

The event raised more than $200,000 and it's still not too late to donate! We hope you'll join us next year. We are proud of our Stanley Steemer "Steem Queens" for winning the annual costume contest. Check them out on Facebook!

More about the Polar Plunge.

Individuals and teams experience heart-warming and bone chilling extremes as they take the plunge into the cold Aquatica wave pool to raise money for special Olympics. You'll help provide year-round sports training and competition to more than 15,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

 How it Works:

For just $100 in pledges – the cost to Plunge – Plungers automatically get entry into Aquatica, an All-Day Food Pass, the official Polar Plunge® T-shirt, two spectator passes and bragging rights over everyone who just couldn't bear it! Plus, the more money you raise, the more cool stuff you can get – like Aquatica, SeaWorld and Discovery Cove tickets.

Make sure to join us next year!
