Altamonte Springs:

From 7:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. on August 6th, residents in neighborhoods throughout
Altamonte Springs and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside
lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. Many neighborhoods
throughout Altamonte Springs will be hosting a variety of special events such as block
parties, cookouts, parades, flashlight walks, contests, youth activities and anti-crime
rallies.
The following neighborhoods in Altamonte Springs are participating:
Barclay Woods
Brantley Estates
Brantley Terrace
Capistrano Condominiums
Charter Pointe Apartments
Crescent Place Condominiums

Clermont:

The event will be held at the Waterfront Park located at 100 3rd St, Clermont, FL 34711, from 4pm - 9pm, rain or shine.

In support of this cause, children of our community ages 6-17 were asked to participate in an essay writing contest. Three Kindles will be awarded to the top essay in each age group. The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2013.  While at the event you can also support local charities by bringing a non-perishable food item for a local food bank, an item for the South Lake Animal Shelter or gently used shoes for a children's charity.

More information can be found on the Clermont Police Department's facebook page at:  www.facebook.com/ClermontPD or www.facebook.com/NationalNightOutClermontFlorida

Holly Hill:

The Holly Hill Police Department will host an Open House at police headquarters on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm as part of the 30th Anniversary of National Night Out.

The Open House will held at the Holly Hill Police Department, 1065 Ridgewood Avenue, and will include static displays of law enforcement and emergency management equipment and group tours of Holly Hill's historic police facility and City Hall.

Holly Hill Police Chief Mark Barker and his officers will be on hand to answer questions and provide resource information on crime prevention and safety programs.

During the Open House, visitors will be treated to a free Hot Dog cookout, and local businesses will feature displays and door prizes throughout the evening.
