Released document states jury in Zimmerman case to be kept confidential

SANFORD, Fla. - Jury members in the George Zimmerman trial will be kept confidential, according to documents released Wednesday.

Documents released earlier in the week show Zimmerman applied to be a police officer in Virginia, but was rejected early in the process.

Zimmerman also attended a citizen's academy that was hosted by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

The documents also showed Zimmerman trained at a Longwood boxing and kickboxing gym.

Meanwhile, Zimmerman's defense fund nearly doubled in the last 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the fund contained $46,000, but Wednesday the fund increased to $77,000.

Zimmerman's attorney said they are using the money to pay for deposition transcripts and experts.

The defense said they are trying to raise $120,000 before the start of the trial on Monday.
