KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — After multiple delays, SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying a batch of Starlink satellites early Thursday morning.

It was the 18th mission of the constellation of networked satellites meant to provide reliable and affordable internet access to areas around the world that aren’t yet connected.

The company launched the rocket at 3:24 a.m. from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center.

SpaceX scrubbed the launch less than two minutes before liftoff Sunday after an automatic abort was triggered.

They’d planned to try again Monday evening but stood down again due to poor weather conditions.
