Orlando, FL -  RW Dan Gendur scored four goals to lead the Solar Bears to an 8-4 victory over the Florida Everblades in front of 8,608 people at the Amway Center on Friday night.

The Solar Bears started the scoring just 1:03 into the opening frame. C Mathew Sisca won an offensive zone faceoff back to Gendur, and he blasted a one-timer past Everblades G Pat Nagle to put the Solar Bears ahead 1-0. Exactly 
1:03 later, Florida was able to knot the game up at 1-1 when C David Rutherford corralled a rebound and placed a backhander into the top left corner of the net. Orlando then picked up their second shorthanded goal in the past two games when RW Ryan Reaves fought off a check and snapped a shot underneath the crossbar to restore Orlando's lead. Gendur then tallied his second goal of the period with 43 seconds left in the first, making a great move to get free on the right wing, faking a shot to get Nagle out of position, and slipping the puck home to give the Solar Bears a 3-1 lead heading into the middle stanza.

The offense continued to roll in the second period, starting with F C.J. Severyn netting Orlando's second shorthanded goal of the game 1:30 into the period. Rutherford answered for the Everblades to bring the score back to 4-2 just under 5:00 into the frame, but F Scott Tanski recorded his second goal in as many games on a wraparound to put the Solar Bears ahead 5-2. Gendur then tallied his hat trick goal when he powered a shot through G John Muse, who had taken over for Nagle, and then added his fourth goal of the game when he picked the top corner on the power play one minute later at 11:52 to give the Solar Bears a 7-2 lead after two periods.

Orlando added their third shorthanded goal of the game early in the final stanza. Reaves worked his way up the right wing and found himself wide open in the right circle, lifting a wrist shot under the bar to put the Solar Bears ahead 8-2 at the 4:51 mark. The Everblades would answer with two late period goals, including a power play goal by Rutherford to complete his hat trick, but Orlando won their third straight game over Florida by a final 8-4 score.
