Thousands Of Republicans Rally For Victory

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — More than 2,000 people came out Saturday to the Final 2010 Victory Fundraising Rally held by the Republican National Committee.

As election day edges closer, Republicans and Democrats alike are working hard to raise extra money and encourage people to go to the polls and vote. With a number of seats in the house and senate open, Republicans are hoping to gain the edge and swing the balance of power in Washington, D.C.

Sarah Palin, who has been working hard for the past several weeks to campaign for Republican candidates across the country, was one of the speakers at the rally in Orange County on Saturday. She was joined by chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, U.S. Senator George LeMieux (FL) and a number of candidates running in local elections.

Republican Marco Rubio, who is running for Florida's U.S. Senate seat was on hand at the rally. The latest polls show Rubio leading his opponents, Democrat Kendrick Meek and Governor Charlie Crist, who is running without party affiliation.

The Republican candidate for Florida's chief financial officer, Jeff Atwater, was at Saturday's rally, as was Republican Congressional candidates Dennis Ross and Sandy Adams.
