Throwing trespass warning to the ground lands woman in jail

ORLANDO, Fla. — What started as a trespass warning ended with a ride to jail for an Orlando woman Monday.

Orlando police said an officer responded to a report of a trespasser on a property near Westmoreland Drive and Washington Street.

The officer issued a trespass warning to Yolanda Newton.

According to the officer's report, Newton threw the pink trespass warning to the sidewalk.

The report says the officer advised Newton three times to pick up the warning, but she refused to do so.

According to the report, Newton became disorderly and yelled at the officer, "You can kiss my [expletive]."

The officer said the woman was yelling and standing in traffic.

She was arrested and charged with littering on public property.
