Man trying to kill bees accidentally burns down his shed

MONTVILLE, Conn. — A Connecticut man accidentally set fire to his shed Sunday afternoon while trying to get rid of bees using a mix of fuel and oil, according to The Norwich Bulletin.

At some point the man, who lives in Montville, decided to set the mixture on fire, the newspaper reported. The flames spread to his empty shed nearby.

Authorities said the shed was destroyed but firefighters put out the fire before it spread to his home.

Firefighters with the Mohegan, Montville and Oakdale fire departments were dispatched to the residence, according to the Bulletin.

No injuries were reported.
