Miranda Hollingshead unearthed a 3.72-carat yellow diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park, KNWA reported.

“I was just going to pick up a transmission that day, but my siblings were in town and wanted to do something fun together,” the 27-year-old said.

Hollingshead said she found the gem at the base of a hill in the northeast side of the park, according to a news release from Arkansas State Parks.

“I was sitting in the shade, watching a YouTube video on how to find diamonds," Hollingshead said. "I looked over at my kid for a second, and when I looked down, I saw it mixed in with other rocks.”

Hollinghead showed her find to her mother and siblings and then took it to the park's Diamond Discovery Center, KATV reported. Park staff officially weighed the stone and certified it was 3.72 carats.

Many visitors to Crater of Diamonds named their find, and Hollingshead said her son came up with the "Caro Avenger," according to the news release.

“He chose the name Caro, and I am a fan of superheroes, so it seemed like a good fit,” Hollingshead said.

The yellow diamond is the largest gem found at Crater of Diamonds since March 2017, when a teenager found a 7.44-carat brown gem, park officials said. It is the largest yellow diamond since a teenager from Oklahoma City found a 3.85-carat jewel there in October 2013.

Last month, a Nebraska teacher found a 2.12-carat brown gem at the park.
