This boy is desperately trying to get Luke Bryan's attention – and for good reason

SHREVEPORT, La. — He has looked forward to this moment for a long time – the chance to see his favorite country artist, Luke Bryan, play a concert and maybe even get to tell Bryan himself that he is his biggest fan.

Yet, sometimes life is unfair, because when he should be writing up signs to enthusiastically wave in the air and picking out what he is going to wear to Bryan's May 18 concert at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, Louisiana, Layton Carr will instead be in a hospital room recovering from surgery for a brain tumor.

According to KEEL, the boy will be unable to go to the concert, but through the Pay It Forward Networking organization, he might get his wish to see the country star. A family friend recently posted a heartfelt plea on Bryan's Facebook page that included, "Do you think maybe, just maybe, in your insanely busy schedule, that you could go see him in the hospital? He will be in the hospital there in Shreveport. This would make his dreams come true."

Want to help? Spread the word about this adorable little boy.

Who knows? Maybe we can all make his dream come true.
