Saints CB McKenzie Inactive

Sunday, September 7, 2008

(Sports Network) - New Orleans Saints cornerback Mike McKenzie will not play in the team's opener versus Tampa Bay Sunday.

McKenzie, who was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, is still recovering from a torn right knee ligament suffered late in the 2007 season.

Meanwhile, Saints running back Deuce McAllister, who is attempting to return from reconstructive knee surgery, was on the active roster.

Tampa Bay's scratches included wide receiver Michael Clayton, and starting guard Devin Joseph. Jeremy Zuttah replaced Joseph in the starting lineup.
