Saints CB Porter Out For Season

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

(Sports Network) - New Orleans Saints cornerback Tracy Porter had risen to the top of the depth chart in his rookie season only to see it all come to an abrupt end Tuesday as the team placed him on injured reserve.

Saints head coach Sean Payton said at his afternoon news conference that Porter needed surgery on his dislocated right wrist, an injury that occurred during Monday night's loss to Minnesota.

The rookie out of Indiana was selected in the second round of the 2008 draft and immediately made an impact for the Saints (2-3).
