QB Edwards Out For Bills Preseason Game Against Colts

Friday, August 22, 2008

(Sports Network) - Bills starting quarterback Trent Edwards will sit out Buffalo's preseason game at Indianapolis on Sunday due to a deep thigh contusion.

J.P. Losman will start in Edwards' place. Edwards, a second-year quarterback out of Stanford, has missed the last three days of practice with the injury.

The 24-year-old QB expects to be ready in time for Buffalo's season-opener on September 7, when they host the Seattle Seahawks.

Bills wide receivers Roscoe Parrish and James Hardy will also likely sit out Sunday's game. Parrish has a sore knee and Hardy is dealing with a sore hamstring.
