Bears G Metcalf Suspended Four Games

Monday, October 13, 2008

(Sports Network) - Chicago Bears guard Terrence Metcalf was suspended four games without pay by the NFL on Monday for violating the league's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.

The suspension is set to begin immediately, and the 30-year-old will not be eligible to return until Monday, November 17 -- one day after the Bears' game against the Green Bay Packers.

Metcalf is an Ole Miss product and was the third-round pick of the Bears in 2002.
