Packers' Harrell To Miss At Least Six Weeks

Monday, August 25, 2008

(Sports Network) - Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Justin Harrell was placed on the physically unable to perform list, assuring he will miss the first six weeks of the regular season.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Tennessee product has not appeared in any of the Packers' first three preseason games.

Harrell will be unable to practice with the team during the first six weeks of the season. After that point, he will be allowed to practice with the team through Week 10. If not activated by that time, he must stop practicing and cannot play for the duration of the season.

The team's first-round selection in 2007, Harrell posted 16 total tackles as Green Bay made it all the way to the NFC Championship game.

The Packers also released wide receiver Chris Francies and running back DeShawn Wynn on Monday.
