Former NFL Player Shot And Killed

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

(Sports Network) - Former NFL player Ivan Caesar was fatally shot inside his home on Monday. He was 41.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Caesar was found about 12:40 a.m. and investigators believe there were witnesses inside the room when he was attacked.

The Boston College product was a linebacker who played 14 games for the Minnesota Vikings in 1991.

Caesar, who was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, also played for the Tampa Bay Storm, Portland Forest Dragons and Milwaukee Mustangs in the Arena Football League.

"I know he had a lot of demons," his ex-wife Robyn Caesar told the newspaper. "I know most people do. And he's taking them to his grave."
