Bucs Bring Back TE Stevens, Cut Ties With QB Gradkowski

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed unrestricted free agent Jerramy Stevens on Friday. To make room for the seventh-year tight end, the club released quarterback Bruce Gradkowski.

Stevens spent the first five seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, before coming to the Bucs prior to the 2007 season. In Seattle, he grabbed 130 passes for 1,458 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also added 19 catches for 215 yards and four scores in seven postseason bouts from 2003-2006.

The six-foot-seven, 260-pounder snagged 18 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns last year for Tampa Bay.

Gradkowski played two seasons for Tampa Bay and was the team's primary quarterback as a rookie in 2006. Gradkowski's career stats stand at 190-of-352 passes (54 percent) for 1,791 yards, nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The Toledo product also ran 48 times, gaining 181 yards.
