Redskins Sign S Hamilton

Friday, May 30, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Redskins signed safety Justin Hamilton, the team announced on Friday.

The Virginia Tech product had 15 tackles for the Browns during 2006, his rookie season, but was cut in September 2007 and didn't play last season.

He was a seventh-round draft choice by the Browns in 2006. Hamilton is expected to be present for the Redskins' next round of OTAs on June 2.

To clear a spot for Hamilton on the roster, the Redskins released undrafted rookie defensive back Stephen Tate.
