Blues Sign Free Agents Regier, Paddock

(Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues added a pair of forwards to the mix Tuesday, signing free agents Steve Regier and Cam Paddock.

Regier, 23, was a fifth-round pick by the New York Islanders in the 2004 Entry Draft, and has not posted a point in 18 games played for the Islanders over three seasons. Last season, in 65 games for the Bridgeport Tigers of the American Hockey League, he recorded 44 points and 60 penalty minutes.

Paddock played 78 games last season for the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL, scoring 12 goals and posting 25 points with 107 penalty minutes. The 25-year- old forward was selected by Pittsburgh in the fifth round of the 2002 Entry Draft.

Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby was named NHL's First Star for the week ending November 30 and goaltenders Jonas Hiller of Anaheim and Chris Mason from St. Louis joined him on the 'Three Stars' list.
