Datsyuk, Pominville, St. Louis Named Finalists For Lady Byng Trophy

New York, NY -- (Sports Network) - Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings, Jason Pominville of the Buffalo Sabres and Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning were nominated as finalists for the Lady Byng Trophy, awarded annually to the player who combines sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct with excellence on the ice.Datsyuk, who has won the award in each of the past two seasons, finished fourth in scoring with a career-high 97 points (31 goals, 66 assists) in 82 games and sported a plus-41 rating. Pominville registered a career-best with 80 points (27 goals) over 82 games while picking up just 20 penalty minutes. The nomination is his first. St. Louis is a third-time finalist. He ranked second on the Lightning in scoring with 25 goals and 58 assists, and topped all league forwards in average ice time with more than 24 minutes per game. The winner will be announced on June 12 at the NHL's award ceremony in Toronto.
