NHL Game Summary - Atlanta At St. Louis

(Sports Network) - David Perron registered a hat trick and added an assist as the St. Louis Blues thrashed Atlanta, 9-4, in exhibition play at Scottrade Center.

Lee Stempniak logged two goals in St. Louis' four-goal third period to go along with an assist, while Andy McDonald tallied five assists in the victory.

Brad Boyes also contributed with a pair of goals for the Blues, while Manny Legace stopped 12-of-15 shots, and Chris Mason allowed a goal on six third- period shots against. Paul Kariya and Patrik Berglund also scored one apiece for St. Louis.

Brett Sterling lit the lamp twice for Atlanta, while Spencer Machacek and Todd White scored as well. Johan Hedberg was beaten nine times on 37 shots for the Thrashers.
