NHL Game Summary - Nashville At Atlanta

(Sports Network) - Jordin Tootoo scored the game-winning goal as the Nashville Predators tallied four times in the third and defeated the Atlanta Thrashers, 6-4, in preseason action at Philips Arena.

Rich Peverley, David Legwand and Joel Ward all had a goal in the third period to give the win to Nashville, who lost in the first round to Detroit in last season's playoffs. Dan Hamhuis and Vernon Fiddler each scored in the first period, and Pekka Rinne stopped 29-of-33 shots to get the win.

Todd White, Vyacheslav Kozlov, Colby Armstrong and Joseph Crabb each scored for Atlanta in the first period to build a 4-2 lead, which the Thrashers would eventually surrender. Johan Hedberg allowed two goals on 16 shots in the first two periods, and Ondrej Pavelec stopped only 11-of-15 shots in the final frame in the loss.
