NHL Game Summary - St. Louis At Atlanta

(Sports Network) - Paul Kariya had a goal and two assists as the St. Louis Blues downed the Atlanta Thrashers, 4-1, in the final preseason game for both clubs.

Lee Stempniak had three assists while Andy McDonald finished the game with a goal and an assist for the Blues, who open up the 2008-09 campaign with a home game against Nashville on Friday. Manny Legace and Chris Mason combined to stop 23-of-24 shots.

Brett Sterling scored the lone goal while Kari Lehtonen gave up four goals on 38 shots for the Thrashers, who have their 2008-09 season opener at home against Washington on Friday.
