The holidays are approaching fast and Thanksgiving will be here before you know it! Not only is our family of dealerships excited about turkey, we’re also excited about a chance to give back to the local community. Put on your running shoes and get ready – the 2013 Toyota of Clermont Turkey Trot is coming up in just a few short weeks!
Help Lake County - lace up your running shoes!
The 2013 Toyota of Clermont Turkey Trot is a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Clermont, but it’s also a way to do your part and make a difference in the community of Lake County! All proceeds from this fun-run will be donated to the South Lake Historical Society, as well as Back to School is Cool. Both of these non-profits make a big difference in the local community, and we’re beyond thrilled to be able to support them!
Ready to register? You can head over to the Clermont Turkey Trot website to do so, and here are all the important details you need to get ready for the 5k race:
- The Turkey Trot will take place on Saturday, November 23. The race starts at 8:00am sharp!
- The race will take place on the South Lake Trail, with the starting line at the Historical Society (490 West Avenue, Clermont, FL 34711).
- Cost to race is $25 for adults and $20 for children 17 and under.
- Parking is located in downtown Clermont – you can easily walk to the starting line from there!
You can pick up your registration packet for the Toyota of Clermont Turkey Trot the day before the race (Friday, November 22) between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, or pick it up the morning of the race. However, if you choose to pick up that morning, plan on arriving about 45 minutes early to allow yourself enough time!
All race participants will receive a t-shirt, as well as a finishing medal and free breakfast from Beef O’Bradys. Want to bring the family along to take advantage of the morning and show community support? You can also purchase breakfast for a small fee for the everyone not racing!

Why not do your part and help out the local community? The South Lake Historical Society is an important part of Lake County – they restore, maintain, and preserve local historical buildings and landmarks so future generations can enjoy them. They’ve worked on landmarks like the Train Depot and the Cooper Memorial Library!
Back to School is Cool is a local non-profit that works with local school children. They provide these youth with elements like school supplies, clothing, formal wear, toiletries, and all of the other tools they need to have a happy and successful academic career!
