Former NHRA Driver From Eustis Dies

EUSTIS, Fla. -- Former NHRA Funny Car driver Alfred Hofmann of Eustis, died of a heart attack last Thursday, March 20th at the age of 60. Hofmann was a 15-time winner who regularly finished in the top ten in the standings in the 1990s, including a second place finish to John Force in 1995.A longtime fan favorite, Hofmann retired just five years ago.Hofmann's family will hold a private viewing Monday and a public celebration of Hofmann's life Tuesday at 11:00am at Jeremiah/McGregor's in Mt. Dora.
