Stillwater, OK -- (Sports Network) - Dantrell Savage rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, as the Oklahoma State Cowboys cruised to a 48-8 win over the Florida Atlantic Owls in non-conference action from Boone Pickens Stadium. Mike Hamilton added 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns for OSU (3-0), while Bobby Reid finished 9-of-16 for 186 yards and a touchdown passing. For the Owls (0-3), redshirt freshman quarterback Rusty Smith went 10-of-15 for 107 yards and one interception. OSU got on the scoreboard with 5:56 remaining in the first quarter on a six- yard touchdown run by Hamilton. With 1:45 to play in the first quarter, Chris Collins scooped up a fumble and returned it three yards for a touchdown, putting the Cowboys ahead, 14-0. Reid found Adarius Bowman for a 69-yard touchdown pass at the 8:43 mark of the second quarter to extend the Cowboys' lead to 21-0. Jason Ricks kicked a 30-yard field goal and a 41-yard field goal in the final three minutes of the first half, giving OSU a 27-0 lead heading into the locker room. The second half opened up with a 10-yard touchdown run by Hamilton with 12:54 to play in the third quarter. The onslaught continued when Reid then ran one in from nine yards out with 6:11 remaining in the third. FAU finally got on the board with 9:04 to play in the game, as William Rose crossed the goal line on an eight-yard run. But less than two minutes later, Savage broke off a 70-yard touchdown run for OSU to close out the scoring. Despite not having a 100-yard rusher, the Cowboys registered 246 yards on the ground.
