ORLANDO, Fla. - The
now-former Orlando Magic man, Dwight Howard has left dozens of local children in the lurch.
WFTV was there Monday morning when his two-day basketball camp began without him.
Rookie Andrew Nicholson is standing in for Howard, whose official explanation is that he's recovering from back surgery, not that he's been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Parents were offered a full refund for the $200 camp, but only a handful took it. Others had their own reaction to Dwight's departure.
A billboard on Interstate 4 from a local moving company offered to help Howard move from Seminole County to Los Angeles.
