ORLANDO, Fla. - Jameer Nelson will stay in his Orlando Magic uniform, at least for the next three years.
The point guard agreed to the nearly $20 million deal on Thursday.
Last Friday, Nelson opted out of the last year of his previous contract to explore other options.
But he took to Twitter on Thursday and tweeted he's "Glad to say I've reached an agreement with the Magic... I'm blessed to have the best fans and a great organization supporting me!"
Due to NBA rules, Nelson can't officially sign the new deal until next week.
Nelson has spent all eight seasons of his NBA career with the Magic.
