Solar Bears Fall In OT, 2-1

Orlando, FL - The Solar Bears used a second period goal off the stick of C Mathew Sisca to secure a point in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Gwinnett Gladiators at the Amway Center on Wednesday Night.

The Gladiators put home the lone goal of the opening frame late in the period. While shorthanded, F Christian Ouellet lifted backhand pass to F Even Bloodoff in the slot. Bloodoff finished the play off with backhander of his own with 3:09 remaining in the frame.

Trailing 1-0 going into the second stanza, Orlando was able to even up the score on a nice give-and-go passing play in the attacking end. A scoreless third period led to overtime, where F Doug Jones stole a puck at his own blue line and snapped home a rebound off the pads of G John Curry to secure the 2-1 victory for Gwinnett.
