DARDEN RESTAURANTSDarden Restaurants distributed nearly 1,000 backpacks filed with age-specific school supplies on Saturday, August 11 to the PKZ (Parramore Kidz Zone) and City Teenz at the City Recreation Department on Livingston Street. WFTV Eyewitness News Anchor Martie Salt was on hand to welcome dignitaries as well as WFTV Eyewitness News Anchor Vanessa Echols, WFTV Reporter Melonie Holt and Meteorologist Ben Smith. Overall preparations for food, drinks and activities included nearly 2,000 people participating.
