I joined WFTV in October of 2003.Before coming to Orlando, I worked as a reporter in Arkansas, Kansas and Iowa.I am a native of Fullerton, California and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles majoring in Communication Studies. Throughout college, I interned at several news organizations, including ABC News Nightline and Fox News Channel.Because I am a strong believer in becoming a better story teller, I applied for and received a fellowship in 2001 to attend a power reporting seminar at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1998 and 1999, I won two Associated Press awards, the Robert-Clete Journalism Memorial Scholarship award and the Kathryn Dettman Memorial Scholarship award. In 1993, I was the first Asian American to win TEEN Magazine's Miss Teenage America.I am excited to call the sunshine state my new home. In my spare time, I enjoy teaching aerobics, surfing the net and spending time with my dog, Max.
