When I was a student at the University of Central Florida, my goal was to land a job as a reporter in Orlando.

I spent my college days watching Bob Opsahl and Martie Salt on Channel 9. Now it's an honor to work with them in the same newsroom.

My background includes reporting positions in Birmingham, Charleston, and Paducah. Along the way, I stacked up two dozen honors from the Associated Press, three Edward R. Murrow awards, and three Emmy awards.

In my spare time, I play golf with my dad--and I'm also a big fan of my hometown Chicago Cubs. We'll make it back to the World Series one day. Just wait until next year!
