So long white Christmas and hello sunshine!
Living in New York State all of my life, I am more than happy to trade my mittens, winter boots and heavy coats for welcomed warmer climates.
I joined the Eyewitness News Team in December 2011 after spending the last 6 years at two Upstate New York television stations. I also completed my Masters in Broadcast Journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
I currently work for Eyewitness News Daybreak and TV27 bringing you your traffic reports every morning. It is important for me to get you to work on time or out of town if you're hitting the road for a big trip.
Aside from Daybreak Traffic duties, I also report on all the major transportation or road construction news, including SunRail, the expansion of I-4 and changes at Orlando International Airport. Most importantly, I report on any problems you face on your neighborhoods roads.
Before coming to WFTV, I was a reporter and anchor at WSYR in Syracuse, NY and at WICZ in Binghamton, NY. Upstate New York gave me my fair share of live reports atop snow mounds while the blistering wind created whiteout conditions. The summers were just as eventful with two historic floods and Hurricane Irene in 2011. Let's just say I already have my rain gear for when the rough weather comes through Central Florida.
While in Syracuse, I was also honored by the NYS Associated Press and Syracuse Press Club recognized for my reporting on the use and legality of synthetic drugs bought over the Internet and sold on the street. I discovered how Central New York High School students were using the drugs and why law enforcement could not arrest dealers.
When I’m not working a story, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two playful Yorkies at the dog park.
Be sure to wake up with me and the rest of the Eyewitness News Team every morning and catch my reports at 5:00pm, 5:30pm or 6:00pm.
If I have a story you would like me to tell or if you just want to say "hello", please send me an e-mail.
