DELTONA, Fla. — A person was killed and another was seriously injured early Tuesday when two motorcycles collided in Deltona, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said.
The crash was reported shortly before 1:45 a.m. on Enterprise Road near Deltona Boulevard, Sheriff's Office spokesman Andrew Gant said.
John Giles, 32, of Deltona, was pronounced dead at the crash scene, Stephen Katz, 29, Deltona, was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, Gant said.
Enterprise Road was closed for almost nine hours, but it has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
No other details were given.
