OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A 41-year-old box truck driver died following a three-truck crash blocked that the on-ramp to Interstate 4 westbound from State Road 417 for more than four hours Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to an FHP report, the 41-year-old driver, identified as John Gale of Haines City, failed to slow down while approaching a second box truck. Gale's truck reportedly collided with the second box truck, which then collided with another semi truck.
Lt. Kim Montes said the crash happened around 6:20 a.m. The road remained closed until just before 11 a.m.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
