I-4 reopens after tractor-trailer jackknifes in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — A tractor-trailer jackknifed early Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando, the Orlando Police Department said.

The crash happened shortly before 2:15 a.m. near West Amelia Street, Orlando police Lt. Daniel Brady said.

The vehicle blocked all eastbound lanes of the interstate, sent concrete barriers into the roadway and downed power lines, Brady said.

Police said traffic was diverted to the West Amelia Street off-ramp and was redirected to the West Amelia Street on-ramp.

No one was injured in the crash.

The roadway reopened shortly after 5 a.m.

No other details were given.
