Man hits other man with SUV before crashing into building in Orlando, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. — A driver hit a man with an SUV Friday and then crashed into a building during a fight, Orlando police said.

“As soon as I saw some gestures like someone was about to get shot, I called 911, because I knew something was going to happen, and sure enough it did,” said an unidentified witness.

Police said three men were fighting just before the incident at a condominium complex on Versailles Drive.

“He was walking on the sidewalk. The guy driving the vehicle went from zero to the sidewalk in half a second, hit him, drove him up the little bit of the bank and stuck him right through the front window of the building,” said the witness.

Officer surrounded a man a short distance from the condominium complex, but police have not confirmed any arrests.

The driver fled on foot and the man who was hit jumped into another car and left, witnesses said.

Witnesses said they are shocked that the man who was thrown through a window and into the complex walked away. Witnesses also said someone drove him to the hospital.

“It was quick. I don't know how he walked away from this. I have no idea,” said a witness.

Information about the third man involved has not been released.
