Woman killed in wrong-way crash in Orange County, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle wrong-way crash on on Colonial Drive at South Tanner Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at about 9:50 p.m.

The 38-year-old driver of a 2009 Acura was driving west in the eastbound lanes of Colonial Drive when it ran head-on into a 2003 Ford SUV, troopers said.

The driver of the Acura, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford received minor injuries in the crash.

No other information on the crash was immediately released.

Colonial Drive was closed in the area of the crash as emergency personnel responded to the scene.
