Wednesday morning traffic update: Gas line rupture, crashes and road blocks

CENTRAL FLORIDA — There is a crash on I-95 in Ormond Beach that is causing road block Wednesday morning, according to WFTV traffic reporter Racquel Asa.

The crash is approaching US-1 and will affect drivers headed to Daytona Beach. The left lane and shoulder are blocked by the wreck.

Delays are heavy approaching US-1. As an alternate you can use US-1 or Old Dixie Highway.

Earlier Wednesday morning, SR-46 in Lake Mary at Lake Markham Road was reopened after a ruptured gas line forced officials to shut it down for three hours.

A ruptured high-pressure natural gas line caused the shutdown. Hazmat and utility crews were at the scene and shut off the gas.

There was a crash in Brevard County early Wednesday morning in Mims near the I-95 entrance, involving two tractor-trailers. There were no injuries or delays reported.
