Comfortable temperatures, low humidity and high fire threat

Central Florida had a few scattered showers with the main bulk of the showers remained over south Florida.

The west coast sea breeze aid in developing some showers and a couple of storms through the early evening and quickly after sunset they ended, as the day's heating was lost.

A wash out Sunday was never forecast, many locations received amounts of less than a quarter of an inch. The drought continues to worsen, so any little rain we received, it will be very welcomed.

Ocala was the luckiest location collecting three quarters of an inch.

A weak cold front will be traveling through Central Florida, providing a relief from the heat we had since last week. A few very isolated showers associated with the front are possible during the early afternoon. Otherwise, mostly sunny with highs in the low-80s and low humidity as well.

North-northwesterly winds will be strong on Monday and Tuesday; combined with the low humidity levels, expect a high fire threat across the area. Please follow the authorities instructions, burn bans are likely to continue in effect.
