Dense fog, reduced visibility to be an issue for Thursday morning commute

Dense fog will once again dominate Thursday morning across Central Florida.

"Sharp drops in visibility could lead to hazardous driving conditions," said Channel 9 Certified Meteorologist Brian Shields.

Fog will reduce visibility to less than a quarter mile after 2 a.m., and will likely last through sunrise.

Expect the surface cloud deck to dissipate after 9 a.m. from west to east, although fog could linger a bit longer along the coastal communities and near the shore.

Drivers should not use their high beams, as they reflect more light and makes visibility worse. Low beams are recommended, along with slow speeds and keeping a good distance between cars.

Moisture from the Atlantic (winds from the SE) leading to foggy overnight conditions once again tonight. Remember to use the low beams. (The high beams will reflect more light and obstruct visibility further.) Advisories are likely later tonight. Humedad desde el Atlántico (viento del SE) traerá neblina densa esta noche, otra vez. Recuerde usar las luces bajas. Las luces altas reflejan más luz y obstruyen más la visibilidad. Advertencias son probables esta noche.
