A cold front passing early Tuesday has left a trail of thick clouds and a steady onshore flow. The air mass is slightly cooler, but what has really kept the temperatures cooler than average were the clouds.
Tuesday has remained mainly cloudy with highs only topping off at 83°F at Orlando International Airport and 80°F in Daytona Beach.
Expect higher shower activity to be focused near the Brevard and Volusia County coast where flood watches are in effect through Wednesday.
Inland counties, such as Seminole and Orange will likely have spread showers during the evening hours through the wee hours Wednesday.
Winds will gradually diminish inland, but will stay breezy along the coast.
Rip currents risk will be high. Swimmers should not be heading out to the beaches this week
